Gauges: Speed Set

Using the Facing Gauge while nailing across the width of the plank assures greater accuracy of the desired exposure and guards against sagging. Malco’s FCMS Speed Set Gauges are used like an extra pair of hands to prop up one end of the plank for one-person application.

Features

  • Includes both a FCG2 overlap gauge and a FCFG siding facing gauge.
  • Combination set helps increase speed of putting up fiber cement siding.

Pricey but handy
These gadgets are really handy to have when doing fiber cement siding. They helped keep the spacing regular all the way up two stories worth of siding. Pretty Pricey for their size, but after wrapping a whole house in siding, they'll have been well-used.

Watch out to make sure to set plank close
Worked well to help work alone to install hardy plank. Watch out to make sure to set plank close and not nail to close to bracket so can remove easily.

Great tool – time saver
We were able to install our cement board siding with such ease. Very accurate. Every contractor should have this in their toolbox.

Works
This speed spacing gauge for siding works as described, however the little metal holder works all right with wood siding but not with full length Hardie siding.

Very Nice, just what I was looking for
Works pretty good for one person operation, but does like to pop out on occasion, but I figured out putting a nail in the board on one side to hold it, then fastening the other end, then you come back remove the nail and adjust your gap. Would buy again.
