(Sept. 30, 2020) — Malco Tools, Inc. one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of high-quality, American-made tools for the HVAC trade (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), today announced the winners of its annual HVAC Trade-Pro of the Year Award program. The HVAC Trade-Pro of the Year Award recognizes and celebrates outstanding, experienced HVAC professionals who are dedicated to the industry and on-the-job safety, as well as giving back to their communities.
“The 2020 HVAC Trade-Pro of the Year winners are some of the finest nominees we’ve ever seen,” said Malco president and COO Mardon Quandt. “These elite contractors and technicians are making a difference in the field and in their local communities, and are continuing to advance the industry’s reputation for safety and top-quality customer service.”
“Our deepest congratulations and gratitude go to the 2020 HVAC Trade-Pro of the Year honorees,” added Eric Peterson, Malco director of sales and marketing. “This year has been challenging for everyone, and we are proud of the hard work these HVAC professionals are putting in to help keep our communities safely up and running.”
The program recognized five top HVAC contractors and technicians from across the U.S.:
Pablo Estrada
Pablo Estrada of Las Vegas has been recognized by Malco Tools, Inc. as an “HVAC Trade-Pro of the Year” for his achievements, on-the-job safety, excellent reputation and commitment to making a difference in his community. Estrada is an Installer & Service Technician for Infinity Heating & Cooling. Estrada, who chose to pursue a technical career in the trades after realizing he’d rather work in a field where he “could use a screwdriver instead of a calculator,” is laser-focused on safety, ergonomics and cleanliness on the job. He frequently takes the extra time to provide top-quality customer service, including taking time to show elderly customers how to use a new thermostat.
AC Pro in Las Vegas will distribute a tool prize to Estrada.
Shannon Godlewski
Shannon Godlewski of New Castle, Delaware, has been recognized by Malco Tools, Inc. as an “HVAC Trade-Pro of the Year” for his achievements, on-the-job safety, excellent reputation and commitment to making a difference in his community. Godlewski is a Technician for Service Unlimited Inc. His HVAC career began 18 years ago after serving in the Marine Corps, and today he finds ways to give back to his local community by cleaning up trash in his neighborhood, and recently helped arrange a funeral with military honors for his neighbor, a fellow Marine veteran, by setting up a GoFundMe page to cover expenses.
United Refrigeration in New Castle will distribute a tool prize to Godlewski.
Tyler Norton
Tyler Norton of Syracuse, Utah, has been recognized by Malco Tools, Inc. as an “HVAC Trade-Pro of the Year” for his achievements, on-the-job safety, excellent reputation and commitment to making a difference in his community. Norton is the Lead Technician & Owner of Tight Lines HVAC, which he founded in 2018. Norton’s father was also a HVAC trade professional, and Norton says, “Thanks to my dad and a handful of great journeymen, I have learned a trade that has never made me question where my next paycheck is coming from.” Norton is an active supporter of the local Trout Unlimited group.
US Air Conditioning in Utah will distribute a tool prize to Norton.
Dan Sorenson
Dan Sorenson of Orem, Utah, has been recognized by Malco Tools, Inc. as an “HVAC Trade-Pro of the Year” for his achievements, on-the-job safety, excellent reputation and commitment to making a difference in his community. Sorenson is an Assistant Service Manager for Any Hour Services. Sorenson’s nominator says he always puts safety first on the job and steps up to help others get the job done safely. A leader in a local youth organization, Sorenson is generous with his time and frequently volunteers his time to help his neighbors.
Contractors HVAC Supply in Orem will distribute a tool prize to Sorenson.
Michael Williams
Michael Williams of Wilmington, North Carolina, has been recognized by Malco Tools, Inc. as an “HVAC Trade-Pro of the Year” for his achievements, on-the-job safety, excellent reputation and commitment to making a difference in his community. Williams is a Mechanics Helper for TA Woods. “I have thoroughly enjoyed all my time in the trade and look forward to the opportunity to learn something every single day,” Williams says.
East Coast Metal in Wilmington will distribute a tool prize to Williams.
