Unlike anything on the market, the first tools that Malco Founder Mark Keymer developed featured extra linkage between handles and jaws to produce compound leverage. We continue our founder’s legacy of leadership and innovation by addressing the changing industry landscape and responding to emerging market needs. Since trade pros know first-hand if there is a missing tool to streamline their job or if their tools need enhancements to better suit their needs, gathering end-user feedback is vital to us. Have an idea for a new or updated tool? We welcome you to submit your product idea to us!

Submit Your Product Idea to Fuel New Innovation

Our in-house Engineering, Research, and New Product Development Departments are constantly working on new ideas and improvements to our existing products, so we encourage our valuable customers to share their ideas on how we can better serve them. Over the years, Malco has released tools that help trade pros complete their jobs easier, safer, and quicker than ever before. These products include:

Max 2000® Aviation Snips

Back in the late 1990s, there was widespread dissatisfaction among trade pros with the aviation snips available. These old-school snips featured uncomfortable grips that were tough on hands and less effective overall. Named after the timing of the tool’s introduction, the Malco Max2000 Aviation Snips created waiting lists at dealers. These revolutionary snips have Euro-styled ergonomic handles with thermoplastic grips and finger stops to fit hands of all sizes. They also feature wide-opening jaws, superior hardened blade edges, and head-to-handle compound linkage for top performance. With left-cutting, right-cutting, combination, offset, bulldog, and double-cut models to choose from now, these popular snips can make fast, controlled cuts in vinyl plastics, layered metal, and seams.

TurboShear® Drill Attachment

Our team went to work figuring out how to simplify the task of cutting a square hole in sheet metal duct without using a handheld snip. Thus, in 2003, we released the original TurboShear® drill attachment (TS1). Capable of making straight, curved, or square cuts into heavy 20-gauge metal, this time-saving power shear revolutionized the HVAC market. Following the massive success of this product launch, we began to release new TurboShear models that were designed for heavy-duty jobs, for double cuts, to slice through vinyl siding and asphalt, and many other applications.

C-RHEX® Cleanable, Reversible Magnetic Hex Drivers

In 2017, we launched our exclusive, dual-sided 1/4” & 5/16” C-RHEX Cleanable, Reversible Magnetic Hex Driver with 2” length that rapidly became a bestselling tool in the HVAC market. Users could save valuable time and effort by quickly changing between popular hex sizes and eliminating the buildup of sheet metal shavings with the swipe of a glove or towel. In addition to the original 1/4” & 5/16” hex sizes, we now carry 5/16” & 3/8”, 6 mm & 8 mm, 7 mm & 8 mm, and 8 mm & 10 mm models in various lengths to meet the needs of our customers. On top of that, when trade pros asked for a slimmer profile on the smaller side of the C-RHEX drivers, we delivered. All C-RHEX models now feature a slimmer profile on one hex size for easier access in confined spaces. More flexibility means fewer obstacles out in the field, and that’s what Malco is all about.
