Develop a tool that will punch snap locks in vinyl siding without breaking off the tab produced. This is used for the last piece of siding that gets the lock cut off during installation. There is currently a tool made, but in many cases the punch goes through and breaks the siding or over time it breaks off and the siding blows off the bulding. In northern NY or other cold climates this condition is magnified when it is cold outside. I was thinking something similiar to a thermal knife that forms rather than puches a tab. This would then lock into the undersill at the top of the building near the “J” channel near the soffit.
