 SELECTION TIPS Selecting the right blade for the job is critically important. Factors that should be considered are: 1. Type and hardness of material to be cut, which will determine the tooth form, thickness and material composition of the blade to be used. 2. Size and variation in cross section of stock to be cut which dictates the pitch of the teeth (or teeth per inch) required, tooth set and blade length. 3. Type of cut, whether straight, contour or both will determine blade width. |
